Training is what you will do once you buy a spell or a weapon that you wish to use. When you train, it is usually by yourself or with an NPC. While you train, you post and then wait for a staff member to give you a number, that number will be how many points that post made you towards mastering your spell.
Each level of spell training has its own point value to accomplish to be allowed to use the spell, these are as follows:
Novice - 10
Apprentice - 20
Journeymen - 30
Expert - 50
Master - 60
As you can see, the hire up you go with level, the more you're going to have to do to accomplish the mastery.
When it comes to weapons, it's not as hard, but swinging a weapon was never as hard as throwing a fire ball right, but there are still skills and forms to master.
